NAU Cycling Club
Support NAU Cycling's 2025 Race Season

The NAU Cycling Team

The Northern Arizona University Cycling Club is among Arizona's top collegiate cycling organizations. Reaching over 100 active students, the club also maintains a smaller 30-person cycling team dedicated to traveling to racing events. We compete in many disciplines, including Cross Country Mountain Bike, Gravity Mountain Bike, Road Racing, and Cyclocross. Our members compete in a variety of events, including local series' and even competing for national titles in their disciplines.

YOUR Support will help us reach our 2025 Goals

We want our club to be inclusive and accessible, so in our 2025 season, we hope to boost local participation and increase sport participation in all ages and genders. Additionally, we hope to compete in national competitions again, and YOUR donation will support the costs of hosting, traveling to, and competing in those events.

2025 Goals:

  • Field Race Teams in the MBAA Enduro and Cross Country series'
  • Send Riders to USA Cycling National Championships, including Road, Mountain Bike, and Cyclocross
  • Grow our presence within the community of Flagstaff as advocates for biking infrastructure access, as well as inclusivity in biking

 2023 & 2024 Season

The Sunrise Peak Scramble returned for its second and third years in 2023 and 2024! With an excellent turnout from collegiate teams in both Arizona and Colorado, the Sunrise Peak Scramble served as an excellent fundraising event for our club.

Due to the increased cost to send riders to USAC Collegiate National Championships, the team was unable to send riders to Mountain Bike Nationals in Zirconia, NC for 2023. As for 2024, the team sent 3 riders to Bentonville, AR to compete in Mountain Bike Nationals.

Through the support of sponsors and generous donations, the club hopes to increase team presence at national competitions for the 2025 season.

2022 Season

After a fantastic debut back to collegiate racing in 2021, our team returned hungry for results for the 2022 season. With significant growth in our men's and women's endurance teams, as well as a higher competition level in our gravity team, we were able to not only secure 6th place as a club in the Collegiate National Championships but also secure podium and championship placements in Women's cross country and short track, and team relay divisions.

Locally, the NAU Cycling Club secured wins at state competitions to secure 1st place in the Southwest Conference, with racers Braeden Sellinger and Lauren Aggeler winning the men's and women's conference in cross country and short track.

Through the support of sponsors and generous donations from our 2022 fundraiser, the club could also host the Sunrise Peak Scramble, an all-event mountain bike race at Sunrise Park Resort. With an excellent turnout and increased interest, the Sunrise Peak Scramble will return for its second year this September!

Post relay celebrations in the 2022 Nationals Team Relay

With the success of these past years, the NAU Cycling team has grown!  However, with the growth, we are also experiencing increased club expenses.  To remain inclusive and provide equitable resources for team members, we are once again raising money to support these efforts.

Gifts of any size go a long way in creating opportunities for Lumberjacks on the 2025 NAU Cycling Team to support each other and achieve our team goals.
