SUPPORT AN HONORS INITIATIVE WITH YOUR #AXEOFKINDNESS
The José Ángel Cruz (JAC) Honors Emergency Relief Fund is used to financially support students in the Honors College with emergency relief grants. This fund provides students with small-scale grants, not to exceed $500 per student, to provide emergency assistance with financial obstacles. The grants will provide financial support for basic needs including food, clothing, and essential transportation, or other emergency needs that may arise. NAU Honors students are eligible to apply for this award once in their NAU academic career.
Honors Native American Summer Research Program
Open to NAU Native American and Indigenous undergraduates from all disciplines, the Honors Native American Summer Research Program (HNASRP) provides tuition and fees, housing and meal plan, peer mentoring, and academic programming for students while they pursue supervised research under a faculty mentor. The Sarah Henry Miller Fund for International Experience
The Sarah Henry Miller Fund for International Experience shall be used to support international programs within the NAU Honors College.
HONORS COLLEGE CHALLENGE
Donate to any fund in the Honors College and once Honors receives 25 in total gifts the following gifts will be released to the college: Dean Kevin Gustafson will donate $1,000 to The José Ángel Cruz (JAC) Honors Emergency Relief Fund; Penny Emerson will donate $16,666.67 to support the Honors Native American Summer Research Program; Michael Hagan will donate $10,000 to support the Sarah Henry Miller Fund for International Experience; and an anonymous donor will donate $333.33 to The José Ángel Cruz (JAC) Honors Emergency Relief Fund.
NAU GIVING DAY EVENT
Honors students, join Dean Gustafson for cookies and hot cocoa to celebrate NAU Giving Day. This event begins at 3 pm at the Honors College.
