NAU Pre-Physician Assistant Club
Healing Hands: A Medical Mission Journey to Africa

Pre-Physician Assistant Club at Northern Arizona Univeristy

Who We Are

The Pre-Physician Assistant (Pre-PA) Club at Northern Arizona University is dedicated to helping students interested in pursuing a career as a Physician Assistant. Our mission is to educate members about the PA profession, foster an inspiring and supportive environment, and provide resources and guidance to help students successfully navigate the competitive PA school application process. We aim to create engaging events, networking opportunities, and hands-on experiences that prepare future PAs for the challenges and rewards of this fulfilling healthcare career.

Our Mission

Next June, we are embarking on a life-changing mission to bring medical care to underserved communities in Tanzania, Africa, where access to healthcare is limited or non-existent. Millions of people in Tanzania struggle to access basic healthcare services due to geographic, economic, and social barriers. The lack of medical facilities, trained professionals, and resources leaves many with untreated illnesses and preventable conditions. Our mission aims to bridge this gap by providing immediate care and laying the foundation for long-term health improvements in these communities.

Our team of Pre-Physician Assistants is committed to providing essential medical services, including general health check-ups, pop-up clinics, shadowing doctors and learning about the local culture and healthcare. To make this mission a reality, we need your support.

Your Support Makes a Difference

We are covering our airfare to Africa, but we need help with covering the other necessary costs of this endeavor. This is where YOU can make a difference! Your donation, of any size, will help us purchase critical items, such as:

  • Food and water for our team, ensuring we have proper nutrition
  • Essential supplies and vaccinations to keep us safe
  • In-country transportation so our team can reach remote areas in need
  • Housing for our team

Thank You!

Your support will ensure that we can complete our mission and serve communities in need. We thank you in advance for your help!
