Keeping the Indigenous Culture Alive

WHO WE ARE

The Pow Wow Jam Club is:

  • A new organization at NAU established February 2025
  • A place where students can come together in a safe place to relax and meet other students that are from different reservations and backgrounds.
  • A club that will bring good medicine through the drums of the circle and with laughter that helps students mentally, physically and spiritually.
  • The club's purpose is to help educate the community and NAU about how important it is to keep Indigenous culture alive and well

WHY DO WE NEED SUPPORT

The club is seeking support with:

  • Materials or supplies to register for events
  • Traveling and lodging costs
  • Inviting special speakers and/or performers
  • Costs for promoting or connecting with the community
  • Funds for organizational trips
  • Funds that will help sustain the future of the club

Your support will give the students a purpose of wellbeing and enhance the experience at NAU for educators as well. The funds will help keep the traditions of indigenous culture alive and bright for future Lumberjacks. We will use the funds to help the future club members sustain the life of the club.

THANK YOU DONORS!

Thank you to everyone that has supported our club with donations. We are very grateful and know that the donations that are given are going to help enhance the student's wellbeing and their campus experience. Additionally, it will help all the indigenous students know that their culture is alive and going strong by hearing the drums of the circle and that they have a place to heal and to academically succeed.

Thank you, from all of us at the Pow Wow Jam Club
