Who we are

The Forestry Club at Northern Arizona University is a non-profit student organization for students interested in forestry, ecology, botany, and the environment. The Forestry Club is recognized by the university through the Office of the Dean of Students and serves as the Student Chapter of the Society of American Foresters. The Forestry Club hosts several annual social events, participates in land management projects with local agencies, and organizes several camping/hiking trips throughout the year.

This Year’s Mission

This year, we are raising money to support our club's attendance at the Society of American Foresters (SAF) National Convention in Hartford, CT. This opportunity is invaluable for our members, providing them with access to cutting-edge knowledge, networking opportunities with industry leaders, and exposure to the latest advancements in forestry.

How your support makes a difference

A gift from you can help us cover the costs of registration and travel to this unique opportunity for our members.  Your generous support directly translates into a richer educational experience and equips us with the tools needed to excel in our field.

Your donation, no matter the size, will help us with these critical purchases:

  • Registration for the conference for each student attending (~$200 per student)
  • Airfare to and from the conference (~$400 per student)
  • Housing for our young professionals (~$200 per student)
  • In-city travel to and from the conference and field trips during the conference

Thank you!

Any support that you give to our cause will ensure that we can provide a wonderful experience for our next generation of foresters at Northern Arizona University. We thank you in advance for your help! Go Jacks!
