Center for Service & Volunteerism

The Center for Service and Volunteerism aspires to be a leader in the field of service and volunteerism by supporting a vibrant network of individuals and partner agencies who are making an exceptional impact throughout Arizona supporting direct service, capacity building, professional development, and innovation.

The Center for Service and Volunteerism is largely funded through grants from AmeriCorps, and the State of Arizona’s Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith, and Family. Since our goal is engaging volunteers in service opportunities instead of profit, we encourage and appreciate any contributions we receive.

This Giving Day, we invite you to elevate what’s possible by supporting key funds that make a lasting difference:

Center for Service & Volunteerism

CSV promotes volunteer opportunities for NAU students, staff, faculty and the community at large, to help meet critical needs. Through our 200+ statewide partnerships – ranging from schools to local governments to nonprofits – we engaged over 2,300 volunteers last year who fed, clothed, tutored, mentored (and much more) more than 63,000 Arizonans.

In addition to service opportunities for students, NAU’s AmeriCorps Seniors Programs engage over 500 adults 55 and older who tutor children in schools, provide friendly visiting and transportation to homebound elders, and much more.

Your support of this fund ensures students have opportunities to experience meaningful service, gain valuable career skills, better understand their community, and build their professional network and that our older adult volunteers have opportunities to share their knowledge, skills, and energy with their community.

Your generosity fuels innovation, access, and excellence at NAU. Every gift—no matter the size—helps create life-changing experiences for our students. Thank you for believing in the power of Lumberjack giving.
