PROGRAMS
Northern Arizona University is addressing the need for accessible and affordable hair care services, particularly for students with textured hair. In response to concerns raised by the Black Student Union, the university piloted a barber and stylist service in Fall 2024, which was well-received. The fundraising goal of $25,000 aims to provide eight scheduled hair care service days per year, offer specialized hair products through Louie’s Cupboard, and ensure that students have the resources they need to feel confident and connected to their cultural identity.
