Elevate the Yuma Psychology Club on Giving Day
The NAU Yuma Psychology Club aims to provide students with unique opportunities to not only serve the Yuma community but also advance their academic careers as they aim to become professionals in the field of Psychology.
Our bi-weekly meetings consist of club activities and brainstorming sessions, which aim at fostering trust and shared experiences between members. Our efforts to provide members with a memorable academic experience are encouraged through participation in school events, fundraising events, volunteering opportunities, and attending guest speaker lectures.
Activities This Year
This past fall, we did many fun activities as a group, such as bracelet making, scratch art for winter and fall, affirmation boards for finals week, and stress-relieving coloring activities.
This semester we are mainly focusing on informational presentations to other student groups about campus resources available to them. We have already hosted presentations on career development (resume writing, interview skills, etc.), how to build a healthy relationship (this was tied to Valentine's Day!), and graduate school hosted by a panel of NAU faculty discussing their experiences with the application process and other tips.
