Elevate the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences

The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) includes an array of academic programs living under our umbrella, each threaded together by a shared mission. This unique configuration of programs supports innovative, boundary crossing research and provides distinctive experiential learning opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students.

NAU Giving Day is a great day to support the next generation of innovators!

Support the SBS Future Readiness Fund

Students in SBS develop a deep understanding of people, systems, and society, but hands-on experiences bring that knowledge to life and prepare them for their careers.

A gift to the SBS Future Readiness Fund supports exactly that: stipends for unpaid internships, speaker series, alumni networking, and other professional development opportunities. The job market is quickly changing, and students need more preparation—not less—to stand out. Additional support now can allow us to equip students with skills and experience that are increasingly necessary in today’s workforce.

Without more support, students can miss out on the kinds of experiences that help them truly stand out after graduation. Important relationships with potential employers may never fully develop, and the students who most need hands-on training could end up with fewer real pathways into meaningful careers. But with your help, we can expand access!

See Your Generosity in Action

Every gift—of every size—adds up! Here's how your impact can multiply:

  • $1,000 supports student participation in professional development activities
  • $5,000 helps fund multiple paid micro-internships or workshops
  • $10,000 opens the door for several students to take internship experiences they may have otherwise declined

With your support...

  • In one year: We can expand internships, increase career readiness, and strengthen employer partnerships
  • In five years: We can build a fully supported Future Readiness Center that provides coordinated advising, career development, experiential learning, and partnership programs across SBS' Career Communities.

Thank You for Your #AxeofKindness

Thank you for supporting our students. Your generosity helps them gain the experience, guidance, and opportunities they need to thrive in the next phase of their lives. We are deeply grateful for your career pathways.
