Forestry Club at NAU

Growing the Next Generation of Foresters

The Forestry Club at NAU is a student-led, non-profit organization for those passionate about forestry, ecology, botany, and the environment.

As the official Student Chapter of the Society of American Foresters, we bring together students who care deeply about the land and the future of our natural resources. Through social events, hands-on land management projects with local agencies, and camping and hiking trips throughout the year, we build both knowledge and community.

For us, learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom, it happens out in the field.

Our Mission This Year

This year, we are raising funds to attend the Society of American Foresters (SAF) National Convention in Tacoma, Washington. This experience gives our members the chance to:

  • Learn about the latest advancements in forestry
  • Connect with professionals and industry leaders
  • Explore real-world applications of what we study

It’s an opportunity that can shape careers, open doors, and inspire the next steps in our journey as future foresters.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

Your support helps make this opportunity possible for our members. Donations go directly toward:

  • Conference registration (~$200 per student)
  • Airfare to and from Tacoma (~$400 per student)
  • Housing during the conference (~$200 per student)
  • Local transportation and field trip travel

Every contribution helps reduce financial barriers and allows more students to participate in this valuable experience.

Because of you, we can gain the knowledge, connections, and hands-on experience needed to succeed in our field.

Thank You for Your #AxeofKindness

Your support helps us continue growing as students, professionals, and stewards of the environment.

Thank you for investing in our journey and helping us create meaningful experiences for the next generation of foresters at NAU. Go Jacks!
