Donations to support LouieCare health care vouchers help students receive discounted medical, wellness and counseling services through Campus Health Services, ensuring they don’t have to choose between their education and their health.

Our Impact on Lumberjacks
College is also a period of major transition. Students are navigating independence, financial pressures, heavy workloads, and social changes. Without accessible health resources, these challenges can escalate into more serious problems that affect both well‑being and academic outcomes.
Healthcare costs are rising, and many students may choose to not enroll in an insurance plan, due to lack of affordability.
Prior to the LouieCare Voucher program, students without insurance struggled to receive medical care. With the introduction of the university’s discounted health plan, they now have a reliable, affordable way to receive care at the campus health center.
Instead of delaying treatment or avoiding appointments because of cost, students can schedule visits, manage ongoing health needs, and seek help early—before small issues become major problems. This shift has not only improved individual well‑being but has also strengthened the overall health of the campus community.
