Strings Across the Sea
We are the Cello Studio at NAU, part of the Kitt School of Music, a community of musicians connected by wood, strings, and the shared heartbeat of sound. Our studio brings together music majors and minors at different stages of their journey, all committed to growing, refining, and supporting one another every single day.
In rehearsal rooms and recital halls, we learn more than notes on a page. We learn discipline, collaboration, vulnerability, and trust. We celebrate each other’s progress, we perform together, and yes, we even gather over carrot cake after concerts. This studio is more than a class. It’s a family.
Why We’re Headed to Italy
This summer, we have the incredible opportunity to attend the InterHarmony International Music Festival in Acqui Terme, Italy (July 14–26).
Each student needs to raise about $3,900 (excluding flights) to attend. That cost covers:
- Two private lessons per week
- Two chamber coachings per week
- Master classes, lectures, and seminars
- Orchestra participation (if applicable)
- Room and board with three meals a day
- Festival excursions
- Shuttle transportation to and from Milan Malpensa Airport
This is more than a trip. It’s a transformative experience. It’s the chance to deepen our artistry, gain an international perspective, and push ourselves beyond what feels comfortable. It’s the kind of opportunity that shapes a musician for life.
We are asking for your support in helping make this experience possible for every member of our studio.
What Your Support Makes Possible
Your generosity helps us step into new spaces with confidence. It allows us to refine our craft, expand our musical horizons, and bring everything we learn back to NAU.
When we perform again in Kitt Recital Hall, we won’t just be playing the same notes, we’ll be playing with new depth, new understanding, and new stories to tell.
Because of you, our sound travels farther!
With Gratitude From Our Studio
On behalf of the Cello Studio at NAU, thank you for believing in our music and in our growth as artists. Your support helps turn practice into performance and opportunity into reality.
