Looking for a way to make an impact on health issues in Arizona and beyond? You can make a real difference by donating to one of these funds:
- Center for Health Equity Research – The quality of our health is crucial to how well we learn, our enjoyment of life, and our power to find and keep a good job. Unfortunately, health disparities in northern Arizona are significant. The mission of the Center for Health Equity Research at Northern Arizona University is to collaborate with communities to build foundations and environments that support health and wellbeing. Learn more on the Center's webpage.
- Community Access to Care – Did you know that the NAU Dental Hygiene Clinic is open to the public? Anyone can receive affordable, preventative dental services from students in the dental hygiene program. The clinic also offers free dental exams during events such as the Kiddie Clinic and Smiles for Veterans. Your support of the Community Access to Care program ensures these events remain accessible. Learn more on the Clinic's webpage.
- Nursing Student Support – NAU’s School of Nursing aims to provide outstanding education to students at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels, who can provide high quality health care services to individuals and diverse communities in an environment of constant change and emerging healthcare trends. This fund provides critical support to current nursing students. Learn more on the Nursing Resources webpage.
- Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic – The NAU Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic provides evaluation and therapy services for children and adults with communication and swallowing disorders such as stuttering, aphasia, speech disorders, and more. Often these services are not covered by insurance, but thanks to donations the clinic provides reduced and no cost services to remove financial barriers that may prevent an individual from receiving much-needed intervention. Services are provided by graduate student clinicians working toward earning their master’s degrees in Clinical Speech-Language Pathology. Learn more on the Clinic's webpage.
