Latine Student Union
The Latine Student Union of Northern Arizona University are united in bringing together all and every member of our communities to have a sense of culture and build a familia. This is a place where all individuals are encouraged to support one another by creating long-lasting connections on our campus. Our advocacy extends for the equity of dreamers, the protection of the undocumented, advancing queer and non-binary identities and fighting for equality in all its forms. Funds raised through this project will support advocacy events where we can organize together with members of our community, allies and anyone looking to make positive change in our communities. We advocate for change through direct action, education on the multiple cultures of Latin America and by giving a voice to those marginalized in our society. We are inclusive, open and welcome all who want to build connections as we move social justice awareness forward. Upcoming events include a student prom co-hosted with the Black Student Union. We are also looking to purchase commencement stoles/cords for graduating members of this club.
