Model UN
The NAU Model United Nations club promotes an interest in and an understanding of international politics and the inner-working of the United Nations and all of its organs through academic research and direct participation in conferences and other simulations during the academic year. Participation in the club helps students grow and develop confidence in their public speaking, negotiation, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
The NAU Model United Nations team has over 50 members on their team. Through this project we are trying to raise funds to support costs associated with sending team members to Model UN conferences, including the 2023 Harvard WorldMUN. WorldMUN is the world's most internationally diverse college-level Model UN conference, and the largest outside of the United States and Canada. Every year, 2,000+ currently enrolled university students from over 110 countries attend WorldMUN in a different location around the world*. Through lively and informed debate, exciting social events, and a unique conference spirit, the WorldMUN experience reaches across cultures and borders to inspire both cooperation and friendship.
Your support today would allow for additional NAU MUN members to attend this conference on scholarship, making an experience like this more equitable for all members.
*Past locations of World MUN include Singapore, Puebla (Mexico), Geneva (Switzerland), Beijing (China), Belo Horizonte (Brazil), Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt), Taipei (Taiwan), The Hague (Netherlands), and Panama City (Panama).
