When you give to the Inclusion and Equity Impact Fund, your donation supports:  

Native American Cultural Center Fund (NACC) - NACC strives to support students and to educate the larger community on the histories, cultures, and issues facing Native American/Alaskan Native/ Native Hawaiian and Indigenous communities. It is a “home away from home” for many in the NAU Community. This fund also supports students experiencing food insecurity. Learn more about NACC on the center's webpage. 

Clubs and Organizations - the NAU community has many student clubs and organizations that support cultural, gender, and sexuality diversity on campus through programming, events, and thoughtful community engagement in a safe and supportive environment. Hispanic/Latinx Student Success Fund - supports staff, programs, events, internships, student support, convocation ceremony, and more. Learn about other resources on the Hispanic, Latine Student Services webpage.


LGBTQIA Commission – empowers promising lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual students to achieve their full academic and leadership potential while affirming their identity. Donors and the Commission are working to endow the scholarship and ensure NAU can help build a strong, inclusive, and uplifting community. Learn more on the Commission webpage.

Commission on the Status of Women – makes recommendations to the President and leadership about women’s issues addressing concerns in university policies, practices, and programs to enact constructive change. The NAU Commission on the Status of Women promotes and advocates for gender equity, parity, and inclusivity; fosters a diverse, safe, and welcoming campus environment; and helps to create a family-friendly community. President José Cruz Rivera and Dr. Rima Brusi created a fund to support the unique challenges faced by students who are also parents – a role president Cruz Rivera understands since he was a parent while attending college. NAU Honors Distinguished Speaker Series - Frances Haugen
Advocating Accountability and Ethics for Big Tech: An Evening with Facebook Whistleblower Frances Haugen The NAU Honors Distinguished Speaker Series showcases inspired thinkers from all disciplines addressing issues of vital community interest. The presentations will engage and enlighten students and community members about critical issues facing the region, the nation, and the world. During her time at Facebook as the lead Product Manager on the Civic Misinformation team, Frances became increasingly alarmed by the choices the company makes prioritizing their own profits over public safety and putting people's lives at risk.
