Health Promotion - empowers students to make safe and healthy choices to support academic success through educational programs, policies, and advocacy. Learn more about the programs and initiatives available to students on the Health Promotion webpage.
The Mental Health Support Squad (MHSS) - is a group of undergraduate and graduate students who are passionate about mental health education, outreach, and advocacy. Squad members are trained and supervised by the staff of Counseling Services and serve as mental health resources for peers. Learn more about this dedicated group on the MHSS webpage.
Campus Recreation Services - student-centered programs support healthy lifestyles for Jacks. Over 80% of Campus Recreation users indicate their participation in Campus Recreation programs has helped them establish rewarding relationships with peers. Donor support helps Campus Rec off-set registration costs for participants, upgrade and maintain fitness equipment, and support student-staff development through certifications and training. Employee Assistance and Wellness (EAW) – supports employees with personal and professional issues using methodologies based upon ideas and approaches from many fields of knowledge, including wellness, health promotion, health psychology, System Theory, and integrative medicine. Associated Students of Northern Arizona University (ASNAU) - Women's Committee - supports projects to supply pads and tampons. Last year, $5,000 helped purchase a year's supply of products including 10,000 pads and 10,000 tampons.
ASNAU Assistive Devices Fund - elevate student accessibility at NAU by helping students to secure personal assistive devices such as hearing aids, cognitive aids, and mobility aids. Some funds may also be used to contribute toward evaluations to help students obtain accommodations for disabilities. These gifts will ensure a more inclusive learning environment and success after graduation.
